Bywong is a locality within the Palerang Shire in southern NSW. It lies between Lake George and the Federal Highway, about 30 km north-east of Canberra.

The local community association, Bywong Community Inc, (formerly Geary's Gap Community Association Inc.) created  this website as a service  to residents and others to provide information about Bywong and its history, community  activities and businesses.

The Community meets every even numbered month on the third Monday of the month at
7.30 p.m. at the Community Hall on Birriwa Road. The executive meets at the same time on alternate months.
