From time to time Bywong residents may encounter an injured animal or
bird, or perhaps a snake trapped in tree netting. If we do, the
organisation to call is Wildcare.

Wildcare is managed by volunteers who are dedicated to the
preservation of Australian native wildlife. It rescues and
rehabilitates sick, injured or orphaned native Australian wildlife,
then releases them back into the wild. Each year Wildcare assists
more than 800 birds, mammals and reptiles, and deals with about 5000
 telephone calls from the public.
We encourage Bywong residents to store the emergency phone number for
Wildcare in our mobile phones. That number is: 6299 1966.
